scott b. davis is a photographer and the founder of Medium Photo, a San Diego based non-profit that explores photography as contemporary art. His photographs examine the encompassing light and space of the American southwest using 19th century photographic materials and a process of unique paper negatives, which he pioneered. Recent exhibitions include on the probability of darkness at EUQINOM Gallery in San Francisco and In Focus: Platinum Photographs at the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles. A solo exhibition of his work, place in the sun, opens in November 2020 at Catherine Edelman Gallery in Chicago.
