Leslye Villaseñor is a Visual Artist based in San Diego, who focuses primarily in painting and illustration. She earned an Associate's Degree in Studio Arts from Southwestern College followed by a Bachelor's Degree in Studio Arts from the University of California, San Diego. Her work questions human nature, consciousness and perception. She utilizes her personal narratives and experiences as inspiration in addition to a philosophical and psychological point of view to inform her pieces. Her works, often haunting and melancholic, aim to create a dialogue and connection with the audience by allowing them to identify with specific moments in time, memories and emotions that are portrayed in her artworks.

Her work has been exhibited in the Student Gallery at Southwestern College, the Adam D. Kamil Gallery at UCSD and more recently at the Athenaeum Music and Arts Library in La Jolla.

Leslye was HereIn’s 2021 Intern.
